I was wondering if anyone has used Piano for Preschoolers. Did you like it? I was thinking about getting it in the next few months and starting with my daughter around 2 1/2. She is very interested in our piano and loves to get my music out and pretend to read it. This looked like something that she might like. Anyone else have any thoughts? Is there something else you used and really liked? Thanks!

I did not use it and I don't think I would have spent money on a curriculum at that age, but I am all for starting with some informal music with a child that young. I am also divided on the idea of starting with color strip guides approaches for learning the keyboard. My daughter started piano quite young, after just turning four and six previous months of begging. We went with formal lessons using Music for Little Mozarts.

Hmmm...very interesting! I'm certainly no expert, but the color coding idea makes SO much sense to my arty brain! I'm not really in the position to buy something at the moment...but I think I know enough about piano - I took several years of lessons, in addition to being in band for several yrs. too - that I might could devise something like that on my own. You might could use those color coded stick on book tabs???? Hm...gotta give this some thought.

    Good question! :)
