Praying for you all Sommer! This is a tough time! Prayers are gong up for you and your dh, and the rest of the family!

I'm glad she had a long fulfilling life! I'm glad your dh got to be close to her! Hopefully he can remember the good times, and be happy he got to experience them! You being there and supporting and comforting him is great!

    HUGS and prayers!

    Thanks Deena and Shawna too.

Since I'm here I will give an update. She is still hanging on, but the one caregiver she has is also a hospice volunteer, she says that it could/should be any time now.

I'm almost ashamed to say this, but I really wish she would pass on. I think this waiting game is harder on the family than it would be if she would just go. Hubby and I were talking yesterday and he said to me that he felt bad thinking that way and I confessed to him that I was thinking that for days already. I hate to see how sad he is when he comes home from visiting. We felt she was holding on for one of her children to make it home, but that person has been there now and she is still holding on.

I wish Grandpa would come and take her hand and let her know it is ok to move on. We will all be ok here on earth, and will be better still with both of them watching over us.

(((((((((( hugs)))))))))))) lots of them Sommer, hang in there. I was always told by dh Aunt ( who lived to be 101) when the good Lord is ready for you, that will be the time. Until then it's not her time yet..

this still brings tears to my eyes and it's been almost 3 years but I remember so clearly when DH, Aunt who lived to be 101 called us talked to us both and told us her time was ending she was going on hosipce, ask us if we knew what it was and that she loved us and will see us another time...

Wow, Kris...her courage, love and wisdom was amazing! I hope when the Lord comes to call on me I can be that courageous.

Sommer, it is ok to feel that way. I know how hard it is to see someone you love so much go through that. I watched my mom linger and it wasn't fun. I knew this was not her home and she would feel better once she was in heaven with her Heavenly Father.

Thanks OhioGma! I feel guilty about those thoughts, but then I think why should I feel guilty.. she has to be suffering in some form. Hubby said she is starting to look like a skeleton. He is busy tonight.. I am glad he won't be going down there for hours tonight. He needs a break from it.

Oh, absolutely, Sommer!!! There comes a time when you really do just want to get it over with and move on. There's no quality to her life now, and there should be NO GUILT in wanting her released from what she's going through right now. Praying for you and your family!!!

    Thanks Jackie!

Ok.. new update! Hubby did go down before he left for scouts with Garrett. He said Grandma is doing better! She is still "alseep", but her respirations are back to normal, her blood pressure is back up to normal and they are able to get some food into her.. in food I think he means like more chicken broth.

I don't know what is going to happen now.. but man I don't know how much more we can take.

Sommer, I can't tell you what is going on either, but you know they say sometimes they get that big jump of doing well and then they go down.. I don't know how that really goes.

I know when we went to see Lucky they said he wasn't waking up for any of them but when we got there he woke up and looked at us and whined.. and they said wow thats the most he's done.. maybe hes making a turn.. sure did make a turn and it wasn't for the best, it was his way of saying Goodbye.. Man I still can't talk about that little man without bring tears to my eyes. holy cow.. I miss that boy..

sorry didn't mean to hijack the thread just wanted to tell you what I thought. I don't know what I think anymore..
