Please pray for Amber. She was diagnosed with having mild depression due to her arthritis. She isn't eating, sleeping, or wanting to socialize at all. I can't do anything to help her, but I know the Man that can. Blessings, ~Melanee
I will be praying for Amber. I have been since you first talked about her health problems. I have a chronically ill child who is grown now so I know how hard it is to watch them suffer. Matthew has had Crohn's disease since he was 11. If Amber would enjoy getting mail, just let me know where to send it. My girls are 8 and 14. They could send a letter together if she would like that. Thank you all for your kindness and prayers. I thank you all for wanting to send her cards, but I just don't feel comfortable giving out my address. I am sure you all are wonderful, but I am just unsure about that. I will let her know what you have said though. She seems to be a little better, but very emotional. Please continue to pray for her. Melanee, I hope Amber is feeling better today. I know from what you have posted that she has had a lot of rough days. Maybe as the weather improves she will feel better. Is it less painful for her when the weather is warm? I continue to pray for both of you. Beth
Thank you Beth. Amber is still having a rough time, but warmer weather does help. Swimming is one of the best excersizes for her joints. I think she is experiencing more pain right now because she is growing again. The doctor said she is growing 1/4 of an inch a month. She is at 5ft 5 and 1/4 inches now. She will be 13 in June. I think age is playing a factor in her emotions right now too. I am praying that when she quits growing that this will ease up for her. The doctor thinks her ligaments are not keeping up with her growth very well, and that they are pulled tight. She is scared right now because her hips and knees have begun to pop. We can not get in to see her doctor until next month. She is on a mild anti-depressant med and seems to atleast be getting a good night sleep now. Thanks for asking. My hubby and I were not thrilled about the anti- depressant med, but we know that she is just so down and for a short time we feel this might help her. I know her well and she talks to me so we believe we are doing the right thing. Blessings, Melanee
