Would you please pray for my dh? He has a herniated disk and it's pretty bad. He's looking at surgery, but before he commits to that we're trying one last procedure: a shot into the inflammed area. The doctors say about 45% of the folks who have this get relief, some even avoid surgery. Dh is scheduled for the first shot tomorrow morning.

It's been quite a summer around here: dh hurt his back in May, I had pain off and on all summer until it was diagnosed as gallbladder stones (had surgery, am feeling great now!), ds is now recovering from tonsillitis. I know it could be much, much worse, I know many folks with much more serious health issues.

Thank you for your listening ears. :)

    Blessings,

Dh had the procedure done this morning. It wasn't nearly as painful as he imagined it would be, despite the fact that the nurse set all the huge syringes and needles right where he could see them... Whew! He is supposed to rest the next 48-72 hours to give the medication time to be absorbed in the inflammed area. He's experiencing more discomfort tonight as the pain meds that were injected wear off, but he has a prescription for pain meds to take at home. The dr. said the cortisteroid (sp?) will take 2-3 days to kick in, and in a couple of weeks, it will be clearer whether this is going to help or not.

Thank you so much for praying, Ladies! You guys are great!

    Blessings,
