Hi Everyone! It's been a couple months since I've been in the forum and was pretty new before that, so I probably wasn't missed much , but wanted to pop in and say hi! On the suggestion of many of you, my homeschooler and I hit the Creation Museum back in October. We had a really fun couple days hanging out. the weather was rotten, so we didn't get to see the petting zoo or the llama, but we really enjoyed the museum itself. What a super neat place with tons of learning opportunities! We had a lot of fun, but unfortunately, my home schooler did walk away with more questions about Christianity than he had walking in... We also went to Laser Adventure where they have mini golf and laser tag (both in doors) that goes with a Pharaoh theme. It was a lot of fun, especially since we had just studied Ancient Egypt. Not that they had much in the terms of "education" on that, but it was still fun to play amongst the pyramids and statues that we had just studied. Anyway, I'd highly recommend it if you get over to the Creation Museum. They are very near one another. So, anyway, wanted to thank you guys for giving me the Creation Museum idea! I started working full time in October as well, which is what accounts for my absence. Full time work, and then 3 or so hours of homeschooling 3 or 4 nights a week really cuts into my down time! Hopefully, I can pop in here a little more often, though!
Welcome back! I took a break for a little while too and just recently got back. My daughter really wants to go to the Creation Museum, glad to hear you enjoyed it.
Welcome back! We have a five-year membership at the Creation Museum, but it will be expiring this year and we can't afford to renew it . The best time was when they had a "behind the scenes" tour before it opened. My kids came home saying, "COOL!!! Can we go back when they're open? PLEASE...?"
