I had a difficult week last week and just felt like sharing. Most of you know my dh and I are expecting a baby early Sept. Last week I started spotting and cramping - it was pretty bad. I have had a miscarriage in the past and this felt like it. I got in to see the dr. Thurs. am and was prepared to hear what I had already convinced myself had happened. After several minutes of trying to locate the baby's heartbeat with the doppler they found it!! I laid there for a second in shock and then the reality hit me and I lost it. I cried like I have never cried. Afterwards they did an ultrasound to find the cause of the bleeding and to double check the baby. Baby is fine and no cause or reason for the bleeding. Dr. said it is just one of those things. I am 13 wks pregnant today and considered to be past the point of miscarriage and entering my second trimester. I need to remind myself - sometimes too often - who is in control. With six more months of pregnancy and a possible upcoming court battle with Jessie's adoption now is not the time for me to start thinking I control any of this. So once again I am posting to all that I am letting go (again) and letting God and remind those of you who need it to do the same. Thank you God for the gift of this baby, for all my children and for being my rock.
I'm sobbing, Crystal. Praise to the Lord of LIFE! I am rejoicing with you right now! And I desparately needed that reminder, too.
Crystal I done that with Vicki. It really scared me to death. I thank God the baby is okay. I am praying for you. Just remember he holds me holds my tomorrow.
After many many miscarriages between the younger two boys (five in total), I was devastated when I began bleeding while 12 weeks pregnant with our youngest. I called the doctor and he prescribed a hormone for a couple of days and the bleeding stopped - I was on edge the rest of the pregnancy (I wasn't a Christian then so giving it to God never once crossed my mind). Crystal I'm so happy for you - that you heard the heartbeat and that you learned a very valuable lesson very ealry on - to Let go and let God (I love that expression). Just imagine, if we all could have done that in the past when we were in the worst possible mess, what would have been the outcome (other than peace). Brenda
Thanks everyone for your kind words. I am often humbled at the outward fear I express in times of turmoil. Isnt it just silly? I certainly dont feel silly at the time, but am often brought to my knees when I pour myself into God's arms. No matter the outcome of any event, He is my father and loves me and wants good for my/our lives. Jer. 29:11
