With as many ups and downs as we have experienced as a family, the one thought that continually comes to my mind today is pray and believe that God hears you and WILL answer you.... in His timing, His way and for His Glory! I was able to return to work a couple weeks ago, I think I was hired before I even met with them, before they laid eyes on my resume. It isn't the ideal job (6 hours of work stretched over a 12 hour period 6 days a week.... very little time to interact with my family because of the needs of the client) BUT it puts me back working with people in a health care capacity and then I hit a road block earlier this week and I thought I was going to be without work again (it has to do with asking for help when we were vulnerable as a family and coping with substantial changes in our home after my husbands accident - I was labelled as a rotten person by someone who doesn't know the "nitty gritty" details or the circumstances and didn't pass one of the clearances I needed to pass to work with some people - depending on their funding). Absolutely broken-hearted, I hit my knees (figuratively speaking) and enlisted an army of prayer angels to pray with me for a solution. This morning, I opened my Facebook to see a private message from someone local to me asking about me being able to do private duty nursing with her husband. Yesterday I applied at the manor again and it looks hopeful that I may be able to return there. And so this message is meant more as an encouragement to everyone to pray and believe that God will answer your prayers. I think we can agree that we know this but in the midst of trials, we some times feel discouraged and don't feel as though anyone is listening to us. Pray and believe..... I check for new requests often and though I don't always post a reply, I am praying with all of you . Much love to you
