(Crystal... thank you for keeping me on my toes... I didn't add this yet and I saw your post) My Family: * Job for me * Hubby is applying for a new job (IF he were to get this job, I wouldn't have to work and it would be easier for me to homeschool ) * Finances * Health related issues * My aunt Joyce for continuing recovery (Joyce wants to be home for the Christmas holidays but I don't think Sterling can manage yet) In general: * For those who will travelling this week to be with family for Christmas * For Lorna and her family * For Vicky and her dentist appointment * For Amanda's FIL, her husband and her father * For Brooke and her family * For Skippy's daughter Sara * Jen and her husbands job situation * Becky's son Kevin * For Heidi's daughter Gracie (seizures - which I don't think she has had any for a while) * For Destiny (the child Heidi spoke of) * Tim and his family (Tim will be home from the rehab center for 2 weeks over the Christmas period) \o/ * Jen's cousin and her husband * Kris' mother in law * Kris and her sister - the unspoken situation going on right now
here are my concerns that could use some prayers. My "step-mom" (she and dad have lived together for about 20 years but not married) will need to start taking Chemo therapy to rid of breast cancer (she had her left breast removed because of it). And my dad is going to about 7 different doctors and all I know is that he thinks that he has a second blockage in his neck to the heart (he had a heart atack a few years ago). The two of them have recently moved to Illinois to be with her daughter. They are just at the point in their life that they both need help and cant live alone. (my dad can barely walk do to an old car accident injurry). It makes me really sad that I havn't seen him in over 2 years because he wanted to be close to home incase something happened to his sisster he was close to, (she passed erilier this year). Well I am not one to publicly ask for prayer request, but always read every one elses, and I know that prayer does help so I am extending my wish for prayers for the family. By the way my mom and step dad have been alchahol free now since what happened, my mom even sold her wine glasses at her store.
I might have to change my dentist appt. until who knows when. I am afraid. I hate the thought of a needle going in my mouth. Thanks for the prayers. I need them. I do have a few more that I ask you all to be in prayer for: One is us finding the right church. My hubby getting involved with good christian men. Making the right decision about what to do next year, with our daughter. My son's muscle problem that he will continue to get stronger. And his learning differences and for me to be able to teach him what he needs to make it in the world.
Brenda, thank you so much for organizing this thread. I am sure everyone appreciates the work you have put into this. I am one of those people who sees the prayer list at church appear without a clue as to who keeps track of everything and puts it together. Just wanted to say "thanks"...sure am glad someone out there is organized AND has initiative! We are doing alot better spiritually...and if anyone was aware of my struggle with joy--I got it back!!! \o/ \o/ \o/
\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/ There's a lot to be said about the Purpose Driven life isn't there
I needed the refresher course. I had lost track of God's character (I have parent figure issues that get in the way of me seeing God the way He should be seen). The PDL is really good at taking you back to the basics.
Please pray for Scott's job. He hates it so bad. During the recent ice storm we had he didn't get to work the second night due to a tree across our driveway and he is in trouble for that. He has to write a letter telling what he will do to prevent it from happening again. Scott never doesn't go into to work so this is very very rare. He always goes sick or not and no matter what. It is so crazy. I told him to write if he was God and could control the weather and trees falling. We have a very old chain saw but it doesn't work at all. There was no power too.
Lorna we are praying here and hoping things get better for you all. It seems like we all have those high hills to climb once in awhile. Keep your head up hope and pray things get better
Lorna I can understand why he is upset I would be if he is not one to call in all the time. They seen the weather didn't they? You wonder sometimes
Most employers actually have "inclimate weather" policy and it becomes "free days" for anyone calling in due to weather conditions...even if they just don't want to risk travel. So sorry he is having to face this...I bet he feels similar to be falsely accused as if he could have done something to prevent an act of God.
Lorna, that's aweful! My hubby is the same way...a workaholic who NEVER calls in and works his butt off, but never gets appreciation for what he does. It's sad that some company's have to treat people like that.
I have a job! I have a job! I have a job! WooHoo! I have another praise item to add, but I will do so later... I have to get supper on the go before everyone starves (not really - but they think they're going to)
Congrats Brenda!!! Way to go! I have another prayer to ask for. I had to have tests the other day because I have been "bleeding" for almost a month on and off. Please pray that the doctor didn't miss anything (which is my main concern) and that they all come back negative!
JenPooh we are praying here for you keep us in touch and let us know what is going on. We are thinking of you.
I am hoping I just need to go back on birth control (been off of it for a whole year). I am actually finding out more positive information about birth control too, which could be to my benefit! Becky, what's D&C?
