Lisa Irwin 10 months was taken from her home Monday night and as of yet there are no leads and she has yet to be found. The Missouri Lottery tickets are all printing the Amber Alert on the tickets. Every. Ticket. Bought. In the entire state. (According to the ticket, the Amber Alert is in effect, though I also heard it was lifted)
Amie, I am glad to hear that they are printing that on the tickets. This baby must be found. Will you let us know if you hear anything? You are more local and perhaps closer to the news than some of us.
As of the local 6am news, law enforcement has no leads. Oh, Lord Jesus! Please lead them to this angel!
I think part of the reason the Amber Alert has been pulled, as well as the search has been scaled back, is because the parents are looking increasingly more fishy. The story is a bit odd. Still doesn't change there is a sweet baby not at home in loving arms, right now, though. Praying she is found safely, soon!
Our local news (granted, they are not always the best source of information) said as of this morning the parents are not suspected of wrong-doing. Has that changed?
That was more my opinion than anything. I did hear a commentator on Fox News speaking about it this morning that said the same things I've been wondering about. the missing cell phones; all the lights turned on; the parents mentioned the window first, now they say the door was ajar... it's just all a bit fishy. I'm not pointing fingers, just thinking outloud. I can't imagine what they are going through! I pray they are not involved.
I just pray that sweet baby girl is found safe and put back in the arms of those who love her! What a scary world it must be for that little one just now. I pray the Lord will comfort her, and lead law enforcement in the direction they need to go to find her and bring her home.
No good news at this point. Only thing I've found is that the police say they will be shutting down the command post this evening, and that the baby's parents have stopped cooperating with the police investigation. Still no leads.
Last I heard, there was a heated argument between the parents and police. Nobody said what it was about.
I just heard that the mom failed the lie detector test "miserably", she began sweating when the FBI agent told her this and then demanded an attorney. The father never took a lie detector test because his story checks out. I didn't hear what it was about the mother's story that they are questioning.
I read online this morning that the parents have stopped working with the police... and then it had a statement form the family that they were still working with them... who knows but I pray they find this child soon!
So sad and scary. I can only hope and pray that this isn't another 'Casey Anthony' situation. I don't know what to think about the lie detector test. I know if either of my children went missing, I would be a nervous wreck and not myself...which in turn can throw off a lie detector test. I agree, things in the story do not add up...BUT, news media does often report things in a way to twist things around. So......
Yes, yes, I totally agree. I actually thought to come back and amend my post mentioning the possible unreliability of those tests sometimes... but, well, I got distracted!
I just read an article not too long ago saying that the FBI are searching a landfill in the area (for the second time). They said the mother failed the lie detector test and they stopped cooperating after several days of being interogated. They are reportedly being cooperative again. The father offered to do the lie detector test but they haven't taken him up on it (I suppose because he has an alibi). The mom is in the hot seat because she was home when it happened and have no one to verify her where abouts or what was alleged to have happened.
