When I left work in February (at the beginning of a lengthy meltdown), my sick leave (after fighting for it) was approved for a year.... or so I thought. I opened my mail this morning to see a note saying my benefits will end soon

There is the possibility that those benefits could be turned into regular benefits until I find work but because I quit my job in February it will mean a long hard fight and honestly, I don't have it in me (I do well to keep my head above water lately..... my doctor put me on anti-anxiety meds last week because of severe anxiety attacks).

God will provide, this I know.... He always has and He promises to do so. Pray that God will open doors for me (preferably within my profession) Returning to work would be the best thing for me as it would occupy my mind in a productive way again and give me some sense of normality.

But somehow I'm not freaking out about it (tell me God isn't in control). I was upset earlier today but it didn't do anything to solve the problem so what's the point? Not what we needed right now but I'm trusting God to handle this

You are so right. Freaking out won't help anything. I tell my kids that no matter what happens I am too blessed to be stressed so we just have to deal with whatever is happening.

I called to request a conversion of my benefits and it has to be adjudicated (because it wasn't at the time when I applied for sick leave). In the 'application' I had to give the details that led me to walking out of my job and the lady I spoke to seemed to be very understanding of what it was that I faced at the time (can you say nervous breakdown). They've noted it all on my application. I need a note from my doctor saying I'm able to return to work (I have an appointment on Friday morning) and she told me it could take up to 3 weeks to do the conversion. She asked me if I did anything at the time as far as speaking to my employer abut what happened and she made note on my application that I spoke to the GM prior to quitting (a week or so earlier) and to the HR manager the day I quit... he was supposed to get back to me - he never has (and it has been noted on my file).

Please continue to pray over this matter. I'm still not freaking out about this (nor will I). My husband on the other hand, is slightly stressed about it all. God will provide... He always has and He always will.

Pray also that I would be able to find work (I'd rather be working that have these benefits)

The "adjudicator" called me this morning to ask me for some more details about my reason for leaving work (they spoke to the employer and they gave a different variation of what they thought happened based on what (little) they knew.... lessened dad's disease and made it sound like it was a minor long term thing).

I spoke to her at great length about what happened and she had a call conference at 9 am (currently in it) and said she would be calling me back within a couple hours to let me know whether they will be doing the conversion or not. She is well aware that I was not thinking rationally at the time this all took place.

I'm not out of this world stressed about it, a little bit anxious but not too bad. My husband.... he's anxious. Pray for peace with what ever decision is made today.

EDIT TO ADD: The conversion has been approved..... God is faithful and has provided.

    Thank you all for praying
