Heidi, my baby went on to Heaven in July of 2000. He or she would be four years old now. (Here's a question, what age are our babies in Heaven?) I have a couple of friends who had children the same year my little one would have been born and sometimes it hits me - "my baby would be doing that now", or "my, how big my baby would be right now"... Brooke, thank you for the wonderful pictures! Blessings,
Brooke~ Those pictures are wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing them with Jackie! I saved several of them and will have to try printing them out (I'm lousy at re-sizing things!) Jackie~ Thanks for thinking that those pictures might be a help to those of us who have lost our babies and won't get to see them here on earth. I especially appreciated the first one you posted because the baby really resembles my Ashley when she was a baby, which just seemed so realistic that Jesus really could be holding my baby right now. I know that God gives us trials so that we can come out of them stronger people, and able to use what we've been through to help others. Not long after my tubal pregnancy, I had a mother contact me whose daughter had just had one-asking if I could call her and talk to her. No one, unless they've walked a mile in your shoes, can understand what you're going through in difficult times, or know what to say. It's nice to know there's a whole circle of us here who have experienced miscarriage, and understand the pain that is involved. You guys, all together, helped my bad day (the other day) get a whole lot brighter. So, thanks!
Heidi I found an easy way to resize. Basically you do a "copy and paste". Open the picture, highlight and copy it. Then open up a Word document, and paste it into that. Once you've got it in a Word document, you can resize it easily. I do this a lot for timeline images.
I would have an 8 year old right now. I would also have around a 3 month old. It is funny...my oldest will be 8 in November. The one I lost would have been born around the end of September.
