Okay I didn't think much of it but...

Grandma (dad's mom) had surgery this morning (Thursday). Was supposed to be no big deal; they weren't even doing "real" surgery but doing it microscopically. Apparently they got in and found a blockage (colon) and so they had to cut her, and she's not doing as well recovering as expected. She is now in ICU; I found this out a few minutes ago via my mom sending a message on Facebook. (I have to assume someone called her from where Grandma is, because she's not usually up this late.)

Anyway. Please pray for her. I'm told that everything should be fine and it *sounds* like it's not a huge deal, just out of line with what we expected. So please lift up one for her when you find this.

I know prayers from here are answered rapidly. :) Thank you ladies!

Today Mom said that Dad got to talk to her on the phone and she's doing better. Has had some tubes removed and is looking forward to having the rest removed. But the fact that she was able to talk to him on the phone is great.

Thanks for the prayers, ladies. Please keep praying!

Last night we were told that she was supposed to go home today (Monday). Haven't heard much else, and I'm sure no news is good news.

Did find out that of the 10 or 12 (whats? polyps?) they removed, only 2 showed any malignancy. This is good - they told her that NOT getting chemo when she had her first round of issues a couple of years ago was probably the right choice, that these would not have been prevented by that (and they are the first to show up after being checked every 6 months since then).

My grandma is strong, in so many ways. Thank you for your prayers ladies!
