I am new here. I pulled my son out of public school on Tuesday. We could no longer take the bullying and taunts my son had to endure. We were assured time after time that it would be "taken care of." We also could not understand the state testing, as it did NOT cover what they had studied for the year. They've had practice tests since the beginning of the year. I've not seen 3/4 of this on any homework or school work sent home at the end of semester. My husband has Lou Gehrig's disease and we both have been involved as volunteers at the school. My husband's deteriorating condition affects his speech and the children have been so cruel to our son due to that. I know it is to be expected from children, but the administrators, counselor and teacher have totally dropped the ball on this. Our son has begged me to take him out of school and I have done so. Please pray for our success. And PLEASE pray for my husband!
we are so glad you are here! please know that we are praying for your son, husband, and you. anything we can do,let us know.
(((hugs))) Praying for you all here! And lovin' the thought of how your family is all together now when you need each other most.
I agree with Steve. Instead of wasting time at school for hours a day, your son is going to get to spend as much time as he wants with his dad.
Steve has it right. Prayers for you and your family. I have noticed that when God wants me to move out of a place...he often puts thorns in my bed. It reminds me of a story I once read where they were trying to move a basilisk monster and it was so big and so awful that nothing bothered it, and of course they couldn't look at it or kill it...so they set up disonant sound ...and annoyed it away. God does that to me. Sometimes I am pretty slow on the uptake, and I often fuss and worry about what is going to happen next. (I like lists and plans) But He is there...pushing, poking, (humming off key) Leave all those bad feelings about the school THERE. The three of you sit down and talk about your vision for YOUR school. Take some time off. What fun this will be!! really I was so nervous, and we have had a wonderful experience. Not that I don't still second guess myself a TON. and don't even get me started on curriculum. Welcome to the spot....welcome to your sons education...welcome to your freedom!!
