I just found out that my dad was diagnosed with Cancer. I don't know yet how far along it is or what if anything is going to be done about it. He lives in Florida{I'm planning on moving there, if my house ever sells} and I live about 1,000 miles away in Delaware, and can not get down there right now, financially it's just not possible. My grand parents and Aunts are down there with him now, and are keeping me updated, I just hope they are telling me everything. My mom died from cancer back in 1998. I really hope they can do something to help him......Please keep us in your prayers. Dawn
It's hard to be so far away when you get news like that. I experienced that with my dad a few years ago. I lived in TX he is WA and I could be there. Thankfully he is now in remission and doing well. And we now live in the same town and he drives me crazy more often than not, so it is good for me to remember how I felt then, LOL. I will be praying for you and your dad as you go through this.
I feel for you I went through it twice with dh and once with his sister its not fun... I hope everything turns out ok and he gets all the help he needs. If you need to talk pm me.
My prayers. My mom has cancer. It isn't easy. However, there are so many treatment options these days. You will be amazed at all they can do.
Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers. Just talked to my dad, he's home now, not sure what treatment path he is going to take, will probably find out more in the coming days. He sounds positive which is good. He's glad to be home, his dogs were really happy to see him, he has been in the hospital since Friday. I just wish I wasn't 1000 miles away, I feel so helpless. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers and I'll keep you updated when I hear any news.
