The kids I used to watch are no longer coming because their mom lost her job. I only had one family so her job lost is my lost job as well. I'm starting to have utilities getting shut off. My car also broke down and the people at the shop can't figure out what is wrong with it, so I'm on foot. Now I'm worried about walking alone because some guy pulled his car up to me and told me he'd pay me $20 if I'd show him my breasts!! I have an ad in the paper for more Children to come and lots of word of mouth advertising but I haven't had any calls. (Well 4 people called to ask if I happened to be hiring. :shock Please pray for me. My internet is shut off. I'm only on here because I'm visiting my mom for a few days. The money situation is getting super stressful.

Praying Syele! Is there some type of emergency ultility assistance you can quailfy for? I hope things work out quickly for you. I know this is a stressful time!
Syele, I am so sorry to hear this. Of course, I am praying, but I wish there was something else I could do. Keep your eyes focused on HIM and he will sustain you and give you strength and wisdom to get through this. Hugs for you and your daughter!
Thanks everyone for the prayers! I prayed God would give me more faith, LOL maybe this is my answer. I was told that they will pay my water bill in October, but not sooner. It's not one scheduled for disconnection though. :? My parents helped with the electric but can't next month. Due on about the 10th I think. The DSL was shut of already and they said the phone goes mid september. It looks like i'll have the money for rent at least. Internet service is not the end of the world to live without for a little while, I'm just praying to keep the electric, phone and water on. Hopefully I'll get some kids in SOON. The lady who lost her job has a new one lined up to start in October so She will be bringing back one of her girls (The other is in school.)
thats a little hope for you. Also see if you church has funds to help in emegrencies. Don't forget about the food bank. (maybe some one from church could take you). Also don't forget about AOL...... they still should have the free trial..... I saw the CD's for it at Burger King. (but other places should have it.)
Syele, Please ask your church for help. I have been there. (My hubby didn't have a job for 3 months once-had a baby and one on the way.) It was really hard to ask, but that's what the benevolence funds are for. God's people are to help each other out! If your church does not have a food pantry, find one that does. They are there to help, too. As far as the DSL, yes, you can live without that. You can ceratainly do the AOL if you have a land line. Lots of people don't now. Praying for something to come your way!
Our church is very small the benevloence fund for the whole church is $30 a month, but they will give me a food box. I'm not sure if I have a dial-up modem or not.. but I'll check when I get home.
I'm sorry to hear about your hard times. Daycare can have its down falls at times. I will be praying things get better. Keep your head high and look toward the Lord.

I will most definately say some prayers for you! I have been there and am going thru that too, despite the fact that I have a part time job at a hospital..sometimes its just not quite enough. Please check into food stamps, even if for only a short while it would help immensely..check also if you quailify for cash assistance with that you may be able to get some help with your car repairs too depending on what type of programs they have there. YES for aol! Ive had AOL forever, and every time I call to cancel my internet they offer me a free month..not the greatest but hey it works. Being a single mom is the hardest, most rewarding thing of my life, even if I had to ask for help thru the state and such. I dont brag about it but Im just glad its there to help when needed. GL! I will say some prayers for you..it will all work out..God never gives us more than we can handle!
Update: In an unexpected move, my family payed my rent, phone/internet bill and my electric bill. They also payed for an ad in the paper for me to get some more kids in here. We are ok on food for now and so my only big worry is that they are threatening to shut off the Water. I'm going down there monday and paying half the bill and begging for payment arrangements for the other half. LIHEAP will pay the water bill on October 1st provided it is still connected, so I just have to keep it from getting shut off till then. Thank you all so much for your prayers! Please continue to pray for me to have favor with the water people on Monday and that I get some children here ASAP. The ad comes out tomorrow and will be in the paper for 3 days.

Well almost all the adive I could give was given, i was gonna suggest AOL free bies too... what state do you live in again? And do they have charities around that might help in time of need, or is there another church, I am wondering how small your town is. I know my sis is in dire straites right now too. So as I pray for her I will pray for you! She is working to keep her house as well as all that stuff on. Basicaly keep praying and trusting God, He has brought me food in the past when I had no money and five days until pay day and no one knew but Him and me! so keep trusing in Him wiht all your heart and lean not in your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him and He WILL direct your path... in other words listen for direction then follow it! He will find you the help you need! In the mean time ,know we are praying!
What good news that your rent and most utilities have been taken care of! I am so happy that you can rest a little knowing that that has been covered this month! Iknow it is not a permanent fix...yet....but we are praying it will all be taken care of soon! (((hugs)))
