A couple weeks ago hubby and I went to look at a 100 year old house on 7.66 acres. We've been looking around for our "dream" house for 3 years now, and we've seen plenty of houses This time though, we're really interested. We have lived in our current house for over 7 years, and never really loved it. I know we shouldn't complain, but it's just not what we want. It's 1120 sq. ft. bungaloo, built in the late 60's. 3 bedrooms, a full basement that isn't fully finished, and a large yard. Hubby grew up in the country, so he's always had a hard time with living in town. I, however, grew up just down the street from where we currently live. I have felt it closing in on me though, especially with our neighbour kids. They know no boundaries, and it's getting really annoying. We have a hedge/fence only on one side of the yard, so we are exposed to plenty of other yards on the other sides. Anyway, we are going to look at the acreage again tomorrow at noon, and I'm really hoping it will help us make the decision. It costs a lot more than our current home, though the price was just reduced, and the realtor said they would likely accept even less. They are getting desperate to sell at this point, which would play in our favour. We would have to sell not only our home, but a rental that we have. And we need to get top price on both. My thought is that if this is supposed to be, then God will work things in our favour. So far, He has. I just have a hard time knowing what the next step should be, and how do I know we are making the right decision? If you could pray for us tonight/tomorrow, that would be so appreciated This is a really tough decision for us. Oh yeah, I should mention... moving would mean that our kids are in a different school district. One that is not nearly as good as the one we are currently in. I'm praying that this will be my door into homeschooling, though hubby has already said that the kids will go to public school. God can work through that, right?
I have moved 4 times in a 13 year marriage..... Stressful...... Each and every time your emotions go hay wire over excitment and fear of loosing it... Your realator sounds like she knows what she is talking about, trust her, follow the long steps and let God do the rest. As far as hsing, my dh said absolutely not for years.... Incredibly long story short God moved that mountian in one night. I remember that night so vivid. I remember going to bed and thinking OMG I am going to have to hs now and I was scared out of my mind. Sorta funny. So keep your chin up and ask God to move the mountian.
