Friends, please pray for a local hs family here. They lost their mother in a car accident last night and their oldest daughter (who is 18 and was driving) is in critical condition. They have 9 children altogether from 18-1. Please pray for them and for their daughter's recovery. It is just so heartbreaking to hear. I appreciate it. We've (our hs community) has had a really bad few months. Since December, and including my husband, their have been 4 hs parents lost to 30 children. In Dec. we lost 2 to another car accident, both hs mothers. Please keep them in your prayers and I'll let you know how the daughter is doing as I hear word.
Already praying! I'm so sorry for you and the other parents in your area. I hope your homeschooling group will be a blessing to these families.
Sorry I haven't updated. The daughter is doing better. She is waking up and communicating with them a little more. They still haven't told her yet about her mom. It is just so sad. Please pray that she'll be able to deal with it with the Lord's help. I am sure that having to handle something like that would be the most difficult thing to live with. I'll try to keep you posted a little sooner.
Praying for the daughter and the rest of the family and friends. This is going to be so hard on that young lady when she hears about her mom. So sad.
Praying...how horrible. At least you all have each other for support...I pray you all grow closer to the Lord and each other.
Wanted to post an update. She was not talking so they thought it was neurological. It turned out that even though they hadn't told her about losing her mother, she knew. So now she is starting to speak more. She just had hip surgery and is doing very good. They were talking about sending her away for rehab, but looks like now she MAY be able to stay locally which would be easier for the family. So please keep her in your prayers for a speedy recovery and continue to pray for the family.
