Thanks for the update. I glad to hear the doctor is running tests and not simply prescribing meds. I am still praying. Patty
I agree go get it done the sooner the better, its best to safe then sorry and if you gone this far just finish it up. Keep us updated with the news.
Blood tests are done. We went this morning. She was TERRIFIED!!! And she screamed while the needle was in her arm...but she stayed still so they were able to only stick her once. Now they go off to the lab for testing...it should be a few days. Hoping not to have to go thru the whole weekend without having answers. Thank you for praying. I will keep you all posted.
give her a big hug and tell her we are proud of her, for being a big girl and letting them take the blood from her. I hope you all hear soon.
No results yet. Really don't expect until this afternoon anyway. She is doing her schoolwork, slowly, but doing it. She's drinking more water, we've been trying to convince her that the symptoms of dehydration are very similar to what she's feeling. I would HATE to have to go the hospital for them to rehydrate her. She's doing a subject, then resting, then a subject, then resting. I figured if she could sit up to read American Girl catalogs and magazines and owrk on her Highlights Top Secret Adventures, she could do schoolwork. She agreed, reluctantly! LOL. She's reading her book club book right now while resting, she's been really anxious to start it, so I told her she could. Trying to stay calm until the doctor calls. She is in HIS hands and I shouldn't worry. He's a BIG God and he loves her even more than I ever could in my feeble human body! So...that's good, right???
UGH...don't ya hate waiting for results! Oh well, more time to pray, I suppose. Hope you hear something soon. I am sure she is just fine.
THE BLOOD TESTS WERE ALL NORMAL!!! NOT diabetes, NOT Liver Function issues, NOT Kidney problems, NOT Anemia (or for that matter Lukemia!). Everything was normal EXCEPT for markers that indicate dehydration. Doc gave suggestions to keep the episodes from happening again like watching fluids and making sure she has a high protien snack prior to bed to sustain her during the night. IF they continue, we'll have to see a pediatric GI specialist, but for now the doc said we can wait and watch. THANK YOU ALL for praying! She IS feeling MUCH better today and is almost full activity. She even ate a full dinner with us tonight. That's the first time in 5 days where she ate a full meal. Hubby and I are obviously praising God! THANKS AGAIN for your prayers. I sure don't know what it is about the women on this board that just seem to have His ear, but He sure does listen and answer when you all pray!
Well, I am glad to hear the good news. Aren't kids always like that...they worry you to death and in one split second they are ok again. Glad to see that is that case with your dd. Praise the Lord!
So GLAD the tests came out negative!!! We'll keep praying that all is well and that this won't happen again!
