My neighbor died this evening. She was 95 years old and was living at her old home with her daughter and son in law. They moved into it a few years ago when the older lady remarried and moved to the mountains. Her first husband died young and this lady did not remarry for many, many years. Her second husband died and that is when she moved back on our street. Last Sunday she was at church but left early. This week she really changed. She had cancer before and it had recently returned. It is shocking how fast this all happened. Please keep her daughter in your prayers. She was a baby when her daddy died and her older brother died several years ago and now her mother. She would appreciate your prayers. Please keep my mama in your prayers also. She has always taught our oldest ladies class in Sunday School and this lady was the last one. We have said goodbye to many of our older church members in the last year or so and it is hard on my mother. She is feeling very vulnerable right now.
My neighbors memorial service is tomorrow and I can't go! It is when I have to pick up the grandboys and Emily. I feel awful not going but everyone who could get the kiddos for me will be at the service.
