Please pray. We're finally getting our head above water financially since hubby was laid off and out of work for 2 years. He was able to fix my van (YAY!) but today, I was cooking dinner, turned on the water and it was sooooooooo muddy! I'm talking the water was noticeably 'thicker' as it came out of the faucet... My brother took 2 days to pressure wash my parents house (Right next door), our pond dropped considerably during this time (It's fed by underground water, when the table drops, the pond dries up) plus he washed my moms car yesterday... We knew the people who lived in this house before us and know everyone on this road, we know my parents well and our well are the only two that have never run dry. So I'm sure our water is closely connected. So I'm worried that it may be cracked casing? I'm worried, this could be an expensive fix. As in we may need a new well dug/drilled, which could be VERY expensive..... Please pray that it's nothing major, something we can fix ourselves, if not, that we can at least find an honest person to work on it. Thanks....
Ugg! That is so awful! I will pray that the cause will be found quickly and any repair needed will not be expensive. Also, I am glad your van is working now! That is a blessing!
Had our share of water whoas when we owned the house (we owned the well but three other houses fed off it). Praying it isn't a major repair and it's a quick fix.
We left our sprinkler on all day (we being dh LOL) and next morning the well pump was shorted out. Amazingly we had a thunder and lightning storm during the night and found the well not working the next morning. There was a lot of mud in the lines. I was never sure if we drew the collum down and sucked mud until the pump burned/shorted out, or if the pump was struck by lighting. Either way it was shorted out but was fortunately under a warranty protection and cost only 400. to pull up change out and put back. (600 feet.) Not mud actually but alot of granite dust sludge that looks like mud. Since that time, we do not water much and have switched to raised beds to conserve well usage.
