My grandmother is still bleeding. She has just recieved the lovely gift of two units of blood. Hopefully they can find and stop this soon. Keep praying and give blood!!!!!

They did a scope yesterday and found a small stomach ulcer though it seems unlikely that it is producing this much blood. She has a colonoscopy scheduled for early in the week. Hopefully we'll know more then. Hemoglobin counts roughly look like this Wednesday night- 13 Thursday morning-11 Friday morning- 9 This morning- 7 I'm assuming that the drop is pretty severe. Melissa, any input would be wonderful!!!
Yes they want the Hemoglobin count to be above 12 I think..so yes the lower numbers are not good. Is she getting blood? I have to assume she is, because with a Hgb that low she would on our floor. A colonoscopy will be able to tell them more. I'll continue to pray for her.
I have had a bleeding ulcer since I was 13 and yes they can cause alot of trouble. I hope things are getting better for Grandma, keep us updated.
