Private school option in Louisiana?

    Is it really as simple as sending a letter out once a year? I already sent in the home study application but looking into this option for next year.

    It really is that easy. :) I homeschool under the private school option.

    Yes ma'am it is!! You can still send in your letter declaring yourself a private school. All you do is send it in to the dept of ed (I'll get you the address and proper dept as soon as I can pull out my paper!). You send two copies and a SASE and in a week or two they will send it back stamped recieved and you are good to go for a year. We are lucky in Louisiana because the govt doest mess with us.     That is awesome! Thank you so much. We recently moved here from Texas. HS is very easy there so I just wanted to make sure I'm doing everything right here.

    Yes girl you will be just fine! I will get that info to ya in another day or so......:oops: I babysit and I have extra kiddos due to the holidays...today I had 7!!:eek::p

    No problem! Wow, 7 kids?!?! My 3 are enough, I can't imagine 7, LOL.
