Hello! I've come to a bump in the road & have yet to find a definite answer to my question. I'm sure I could call the school district, but...I don't want to lol Anyway, we are moving in approx 10 days, and though the move is within the state, it is in another district. My question: Do I need to notify either the district that I'm leaving or the district that I'm entering? I already have my excusal letter from the current district...I just don't want to fall out of compliance. TIA, & I am not a member of HSLDA...so other suggestions only please ;)

This is the closest thing I've found to answer your question. Hope it helps!

    (F) Upon transfer from a district in which the child has been excused from compulsory school attendance for the purpose of home education, the last district of residence shall, upon the request of the parents(s), forward to the new district of residence a copy of the information supplied and related documents.

It looks like all you have to do is eventually tell the old school district to send papers to the new one. You don't have to give them anything. And the new district can't change what the old district has ok'd.:D
I got this by Googling Ohio homeschool laws.

Thanks, Marty!!! I'm guessing the best thing would be to call the district and talk with them, and THEN submit something in writing.
