I don't know if any of you are willing to do this but I thought I would let you guys know. I have been in contact with a lady who is from Texas but is helping in Biloxi and surrounding areas. She was saying that while the monetary donations are great and eventually they will help they could really use some other things right now. She is working in some hard hit areas. She suggested gift boxes of school supplies, medical supplies or cleaning supplies. There is still no running water and they could use like germx and other hand cleaners and so on. So my question is this. Would any of you like to help her out? Just so you know, this is not a Baptist/Fundamental Organization. It is Orthodox but the need/help is still there. Just a thought.
That's a good idea, Renee. My mom's church is collecting similar things- school supplies and toiletries, etc.- that they are going to ship down. We are helping with that. It's wonderful to see so many people working together for one cause.
