What part of NY do you live in? There are several breeders listed in NY. I think the breed is very interesting but they are just too expensive for us. Freddy is not a cat person and only likes them if we keep them outside. If you get one please post a picture. I think they are so cute!

Can I make a suggestion? Ragdolls are my favorite breed to look at, but we always adopt a mixed breed cat from a family home or shelter. Look for the markings and a medium length coat and you will have just as gorgeous of a cat for much, much less AND you will have saved a kitten from being euthanized. I have absolutely no problem with purebred animal breeders (I raised German Shepherds and Standard Poodles for years), but adopting a kitten is a viable option if pedigree is not important to you. :)

Its not the pedigree that I am looking for. Its the personality that comes along with the pedigree. Floppy, lovable, lap cat. I have two kittens here from the shelter that I am fostering. I keep praying and asking the Lord to direct our decision. These kittens are our first experience with cats. I wanted to test it out before I came home with one. I could probably keep these but Im not sure. My kids took a survery on line on what type of cat fits best for your family and we all came up with the Ragdoll. That is what put me on to them. Figures they have to be the most expensive cats in the world.....

Our cat has that kind of personality because he was bottle fed from a few days old. I'm sure you will pray in just the right one. :) You can also see if there is a Ragdoll rescue that would be cheaper than buying a kitten.
