does anyone uses this web site readinga-z
I became a member and was wondering if it heped your kids or not. I printed books for my 4 year old and so far he likes it and improving. They have series on each letter, each vowel (short and long), most frequency words, and just leveled reading... we skipped aa level and finishing A level... level B and C is kinderarten and level D is first grade i believe. I am new to this so i dont know much yet.

I have used it in the past, in fact our local school district uses it for teaching reading. We really liked it but it's simply not in our budget.

I don't know anything about that one, but if you're looking for something free, look at ProgressivePhonics. I like that one pretty well. *shrugs*

I've used readingatoz for 5 years now. You made a wise choice! Look at all they offer- poetry, phonics, Spanish books, and I forget what else.
Be sure to do those benchmark tests along the way, like they advise. It will help you be sure your child is where they need to be.

How cool is that?! How much does it cost? How far does it go (is it by grade level, or what)?

It's best to email them and ask if there are any offers right now. Don't be shy, either-they have some really decent, kind people answering emails, and they will help you out if they can. Sometimes they do a b1g1, where if you subscribe to one of their sites, you'll get access to another of their sites for free. Sometimes they'll make other deals, too. Mention my name if you email them, maybe that'll get you a deal, too.

I believe it goes up to 6th grade, but I'm told the books are advanced. My Jeannie is in level T, I believe. ( We took a month long break to do something else, so I really forget.) Level T at RAZ is so far ahead of the BJUP Reading I was looking at. I've also let other moms look at our RAZ books, wkshts, and quizzes, and they all comment how there's 'so much more to it.'

I like it a lot. I wasted a month of access using a novel for reading last month, but oh well. Ya gotta change it up sometimes!

yeah they start very simple aa level is like "An appple, a book, a box". Level A is more sentances kinda way. They go up to level Z which is 5th grade. They also have worksheets. Questions you can ask. Comprehension quizz on each book. Wordless book (for younger kids) where thye write their own sentances for the picture. I am downloading everythign i can now lol.. since i want to have it on my computer perminatly :) Its awesome looks like it.
They do have poetry, they have ficition and nonfiction stuff. They have nursery rhymes :)
I am glad i am makign a good choice. Than kyou BECKY :)

My 4 year old is doing great with level A. And we do HIgh Frequancy words book as well.

They did recently make an increase, but that's why you should email or call them and see if they'll make you a deal. I'm serious that their people are decent and nice. It's not all about the sale with them.

You can get free readers called Tommy Tales at www.learningpage.com. I'm pretty sure that learningpage is a "product" of Reading A-Z, the Tommy Tales books are just like many of the books from RAZ. We used Tommy Tales for 2nd grade when we first started homeschooling.
