I've found the best deals lately in the reduced produce (mainly at Meijer) I was able to get four green peppers for about $1.50, a pound an a half of zucchini, $1.16 and a bag of avocados for $2.00, I put them in the fridge because they were ready to us, but we'll use them today. Anyway, if your grocer has a reduced produce section, check it out. All of the stuff I bought was still good, just needed to be used sooner rather than later.

Yes! I love this section. Meijer's produce is really good to, compared to other grocery stores around here.

I also check out their reduced breads and such. I don't mind buying those items if I am using them fairly quickly as I normally check the expiration data anyhow.
