Ok.... I reduced these to small and they weren't sideways when I uploaded them.... SORRY!! For reference, my countertops are black.

OH!!! I'm glad you said so; I assumed they were white, and the black was mold or something. So I guess it's dust from all the digging, etc.

Yes, the white stuff is concrete dust. It was covering EVERYTHING in the house. I bascially cleaned from 8am until 9:30 pm yesterday, with a 3 hour break to help with school stuff and a break at lunch and supper. I had to wash every cabinet, inside and out, all dishes, every surface, and floor (on my hands and knees- attempt at mopping just spread it around). I finished all of that but my Christmas tree. I think I'm just going to take it down. All ornaments have to be cleaned. I'm not really sure if the tree can be saved. I'm not sure how to get the dust out of all those branches. The floors won't be fixed for at least two weeks, so we won't be able to do Christmas stuff in the living room anyway. We have a smaller tree in the dining room that didn't get as much dust.

The boyfriend showed up about 7pm, left, and came back just after 8. He helped clean about 2 feet of flooring, and he did clean the ceiling fans.

This is so frustrating! I am so sorry you are having to deal with this. Praying things work out soon.
