In our state, most home school families use an accountability group instead of going through the school system. If you live in a state that you have to report to the school system, do you quit reporting after they pass compulsory age, even if you are still finishing their high school?

I think we quit reporting to the State when DS was about 16. He called himself "done" and took his GED at 18.

We did not quit reporting sd when she reached 16 even though by law you do not have to. The only thing is that in NYS homeschooler's diplomas (for those educated in NY)are not recognized by state schools (or pretty much any college in NY) but instead they want a Letter of Completion issued by the school superintendent. Well in order to get the Letter of Completion you need to report to the school and submit the standardized test scores..so we keep reporting.
