I plan for 2 months but DS has a binder that I set up every Sunday with his work for the week. When he's done I make him move the finished work into a bigger binder under the correct tab. In the big binder, I also keep standerdized test scores, attendence and whatever grades I may have given him. I'm not sure which route were taking this year ( we may have to do reviews). This way if I ever have to do a review, I just grab that big binder. If it's two much then oh well, they can look at as much or as little as they want.

Also the small binder for him works great because he tends to get up early. Sometime he will come downstairs and start his work on his own. Then he doesn't have to wake me up!

    We do:
    math,reading,science and history everyday
    spelling/vocabulary and writing 3x a week
Art and cooking 1x-2x a week.
PE is swimming at the Y and Karate 2x a week.

Right now our curr is very Science and History rich. Ds loves these two subjects.

Wooohooo okay so here's our updated schedule (since I got the co-op info). My 1st grader will be taking social studies, science and crafts (which focus on life sciences and American History) at co-op. So I'll only HAVE to teach the 3 R's at home, plus any homework for the co-op classes. I'm excited cause this will assure me we won't skip over social studies LOL So with the co-op day being 4 hours, we'll skip any formal lessons in the 3 R's that day and just do them 3 days a week (we're doing a 4 day week year round) And since DS likes it so much, we'll do some science the other 3 days a week as he wants, it'll strictly be child-led science, whatever he wants to learn about.

If you are looking for specifics, this is our schedule that usually ends up changing weekly. My son knows to do the next lesson in the appropriate books. Certain things I assign to him daily. I try to adhere to this schedule. We are done with school when my son finishes his math. Unfortunately it will take longer than planned. Last week we spent a week review a whole chapter that my son did not grasp the first time he did it.

    MONDAY AND SATURDAY
    -Math
    -Writing
-A World of Adventure--This covered science and history. We have finished that so I am scrabbling to figure something else for science. Next month we will start on state history.
    -Free reading of approved book
-On Mondays we leave for band after lunch
    -I read aloud

    TUESDAY, THURSDAY, AND FRIDAY

    -Math
    -Writing
    -Spelling/Vocabulary/Grammar/Punctuation/and other skills
-A World of Adventure--see above note
    -Fallacy Detective--Just finished that
    -Art
    -I read aloud

    WEDNESDAY

-He goes to an outdoor rec class.

    Here is our schedule:
9am-10am = group time (we go into our school/play room, do our pledge, change the date on our calendar, practice our Bible Verse, go over our flash cards, say a prayer, talk about how we want the day to go, etc)

    10am-12pm = Workboxes and lapbooking

12pm-1pm = lunch and outdoor play

    1 pm -1:30pm = craft and/or educational video

    1:30pm -2pm = reading and journaling

    2-3pm (monday) - art
    2-3pm (tuesday) - field trip
    2-3pm (Wednesday) - Music
    2-3pm (Thursday) - Computer
    2-3pm (Friday) - review

That's the GOAL at least...I have a 4 month old as well, so sometimes we don't do everything on the schedule. I also leave 2 hours for workboxes (my son is 7 and only has 5 workboxes as of now: math, writing, spelling/phonics, history/geography, and science) so there is time for me to teach the subject AND give him time to do the appropriate work pages that go along with that days lesson.

    I hope that helps!
