Jeannie's back at school after Christmas break. Was it ever awesome to have her home all that time! My gosh, I really missed that. I was very sorry to see Tuesday, the 3rd, come. There are some issues at school bothering me, and I'm praying already about next year. I don't remember if I went into any of it here, but there's been crazy stuff I know wouldn't fly in our ps. My biggest gripe now is one teacher that doesn't put enough effort into her teaching. She has a side business, and it appears that gets her attention. The last straw was a quiz that came home filled with grammar errors, spelling errors, and capitalization errors. I actually called her at home over that. Jeannie will most likely make honor roll again, based on her progress report. She loves it there, and is benefitting from being around the other kids. Still, next year is not certain.
Is there a charter school you could use to homeschool her? They usually offer classes on site or nearby that Jeannie could attend. Here there is a charter school that allows the best of both worlds. There are on site classes that you can go to on certain days yet still be homeschooled the rest of the time. I'm glad you got to enjoy her home over the break. I hope everything works out for you and her for next year.
