I am researching science curriculums for next year and am leaning towards "Noeo Science Biology 1". Are any of you familiar with this or know of anyone who has used it?

I am open to other suggestions for science programs but do want a secular one.

    Thanks!
    Peace,
    Amy

We haven't used NOEO but it always looks good to me when I'm browsing different options. For now we're using Apologia Zoo 2 and my oldest is also using Real Science 4 Kids Physics 1 and Chemistry 1 (they also have a Bio). RS4K is secular (I think). Like NOEO, it has things for lower elementary, upper elementary and middle school. It also has a yahoo group that the pubisher answers questions about.

Thanks Rhonda----I'll check out Real Science too while I'm figuring out what I want.

Neither Noeo nor RS4K are secular in a strict sense. They don't mention evolution or creation but I'm not sure that makes them secular. Regardless, at times I've considered them both so don't take that as a knock against them.

For something that's completely secular Singapore Math has the MPH Science series and from what I've heard it's excellent.

Thanks Dawninnns......I guess what I am looking for is a curriculum that is not entirely based in christian teachings. Secular and christian are pretty much the only two words I've heard used to describe curriculum. Is there a word that describes something that isn't entirely one way or another?

When I was looking over Noeo I did not see any mention of God or religion so that led me to believe it is secular. I will look into Singapore also, especially since I am interested in a math program as well.

    Appreciate your help...
    Peace,
    Amy

We've only used RS4K Physics so far and it's definitely just straight science (not evolution or creation....just the laws of physics, etc).
