Should I join a co-op or not for my son who will be in kindergarten in fall? This will be my first year hs. Should I join a co-op or just an active support group? I was thinking the co-op would give him the classroom feel since he has been partcipating in a pre-k program and when I work with him at home he does not think what we do is real school. I have found several co-op options but I have to work part time 2 nights a week and I think joining a co-op may be too much for my schedule. I don't know any hs moms that work outsie their home so I am looking for some advice. Please help! I would love it if I did not have to work but hubby has asked that I get a job to cover hs expenses so I only need to make 1200 a year. I don't know if the co-op will be too much on my plate for my first year or if it is so enriching I should go for it. Also so many co-op's have waiting list so a plus for joining now is that once my family is in the spot are mine until I no longer want them. (I was told there was not a waitlist for kindergarten but that 2nd or 3rd grade the list was really long). sigh Help:?:
