Has anyone used it?Pros and cons, likes and dislikes?
I promise,I will quit with the questions one day, lol.
I just like to hear real life experiences, they give me a better idea if something is going to work for us or not.

MY main hs mentor uses Shurley English and really likes it. (she has only hs 6 kids...so maybe she doesn't know?!)
However, from what I have seen of it...it is not for us. It has cd's with jingles, and I think we are starting out too late to be doing that...they are not middleschool friendly, imo.
and my understanding is there is quite a bit of workbook work. Now, you must take this with a bit of healthy hmmm. as I do not yet have a grammar program that I am happy with.
So, I may not be the one to ask....(I know, maybe you didn't ask me specifically.)
But that is what I know of Shurley English. (oh, and she also said it is pretty advanced so to go at least one year, maybe two "lower" than grade level to start...obviously not applicable if you are starting at the beginning.)

We used it one year. It's a lot of jingles and rote memory, so kids rattle off all these phrases, but putting it into practice is harder. We got tired of it and moved on to something else, even though I WANTED to like it.

Rod & Staff English is good. It's also advanced, so needs to be started a year or two lower than actual grade. The TM is VERY supportive and helps me understand well enough to get it across to my children!
