Has anyone used this? How important are the Teacher's Manuals at the K-1 levels? I'm looking at purchasing a used K curriculum that does not have the TM. What do you think?

I used Singapore for 2nd and 3rd. I bought the teacher's guide but never used it. The textbook was clear enough for what to do, at least for me. :)

We used Singapore for level 3 thru 6. I have heard that the teacher's guide has many great additional activities, ideas for using manipulatives, etc. But, we never bought any and did fine without.

I think it depends on your kid. I bought teachers manuals and use them. They give ideas to introduce concepts with manipulatives, give the assignments in the textbook and workbook with all the answers, and give additional activities and mental math practice. I think the SE Teacher's Guides are supposed to be better than the US edition. I have the SE so I don't know what the US edition looks like. You could probably get by without them especially if you have a child that gets concepts easily.

    I haven't tried the K level though. I do have a 1B Teacher's Guide that I find useful.

Thanks so much for all the input! Since it is a fairly reasonable price and these are a little hard to find used, I think I'll go ahead and pick it up.

    Thanks, everyone!
