I used to wear nike for running but a few years a ago they just started to fall apart soon after I bought them. So I switched to Asics (sp?) because they were cheap at Costco. LOVE my asics! They are comfortable and last forever and I won't go back to nike. I did buy a pair of Skechers shape ups too and I LOVE them but I can't run in them. I wear them all the time. In fact I didn't realize my back hurt so bad until I started wearing them and realized my back felt so much better! They really do take the stress off my back. My dh swears by new balance because they have a rollbar in their shoes (not all of them) that helps with his back and feet. He won't wear anything else.
