My older daughter woke up complaining about her tummy hurting. Sure enough, she has diarrhea and a fever. So now my stomach hurts, too - and I'm not sick! I do this all the time.. if they bang their leg, I will have sympathy pains in mine. If they get a cold, my throat will suddenly start hurting. Charles thinks it's hilarious in a pathetically sweet sort of way (I do it when he is sick, too, actually.) It's just as well I never felt led to go into medicine! So does everybody (anybody??) else do this, or am I the only neurotic one here?
You could have the stomach virus, but being bigger than your dd it may not effect you as much. I'm not sure what to say about the other sympathy pains.
I feel sorry for you when your daughters grow up get married and are in labor! Just kidding. I think you are just very in tune to your family's feelings and what could be wrong with that?
 sloan.. I hadn't thought of that. You can say I'm weird, Amy.. I'm sure Jackie will as soon as she finds this thread.
I am not going to say you are weird because I do the same thing. There is nothing wrong with it. It's very normal. I talked to my dd's godfather who is a daughter and he said it's very common in women. Some people just don't talk about it. You will even have your period the same time. we do. It's funny. so, don't feel bad you are normal not weird. Like my dh always says we aren't weird it's the rest of the world that is.
I can't imagine WHY you would say that!!! I am ALWAYS so well behaved!   I can't help if I know what you're REALLY like!!!
Yes, yes, you do... LOLOL And is normal the first word that you would use to describe me? Thanks for the encouragement, Kris. The Tylenol knocked out her fever and she just asked for something to eat, so we both feel much better now.
Hey, Jackie, 8 years ago today I woke up with both of your girls in my bed and a thunderstorm going on!!
Is that how long you've been married now? I don't remember the thunderstorm!!! Now when it starts thundering, you don't have to bother my girls! You can just cuddle up to Charles! But I'm glad Rachael and Faythe were able to make you feel more secure, lol! (And no, NORMAL is not the word I had in mind!!!)
Yep, 8 years ago today. It's been a fun/interesting/busy/fast/wonderful/educational/stretching/did I mention wonderful? 8 years!
well happy Anniversary Marylyn I hope you have many more wonderful years together, in two weeks me and my dh will be married for 23 years and we will dated and married for 30 years.
Rachael says "EWWW!!! That one looks BAD!!! Tell her I don't aprove of her picture!!!" Yeah, well, she'll change her tune in about ten years or so!!! ("Oh, while you're at it, tell her I said 'Hi, Marylyn!!!'") Marylyn, you were so PRETTY!!! Remember when I took you and Diane out to look at wedding dresses, I put the one on, looked at myself in the mirror, and was in total shock at the elegant stranger staring back at me!!! (Rachael wants to know how old Joy is. Will she be six this summer?)
Marylyn, Did you see what Jackie said about ME in my "AFRICA" thread? Hmph, and she hasn't even met me yet!!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
Hi, Rachael! Joy just turned 6 on May 9th. I'm sorry you don't approve of the wedding picture, but it's MY favorite one. I definitely remember going wedding dress shopping with you, Jackie. You tried on the first dress you picked up and it was perfect! Do you remember the old-ish guy outside the dressing room who put his hand on his heart and said: "You took my breath away..." when you came out to show us. You WERE gorgeous in the dress!! Deena, I missed Jackie's comment somehow.. I'll have to go back and find it now.
So is it Katy that has a June b-day then? Wasn't she near Sarah's and mine? (I asked Rachael how to say that properly. She wasn't sure. I threatened to send her English teacher an e-mail. That was the kind of thing he stressed with the kids!!!)
Katie's birthday is the same as yours and Sarah's, yes. (And I think that was correct, but I'm not sure either.) She will be 4.
