I totally should have a warning before reading something like this while the house is still quiet and asleep. I had a hard time not busting out laughing. Rylee always has some fake critter of hers or another as her "pet". She has this stuffed cat that she dresses and makes collars and jewelry for and feeds and yeah it's funny. She also is into her little rubber critters, we have gone through lots of those stretchy rubber with like bean bag stuff in them. I'm not sure they were ever fed rubber bugs though ;)

We had a ball for Buzz, but the dogs would knock him all over the house and I was always afraid if they didn't kill him they would knock it open and he would get out.

Brooke, I'm really thinking the time has come for an aquarium. We bring in random things from time to time.. salamanders, toads, baby bunnies, snails, as well.

I want to thank you all for your sympathy. I'm really not all that heart broken over it. More of a feeling of my babies are growing up since Buzz joined our family when we started paying more attention to homeschooling the Littles. <sigh>

PS, his funeral is scheduled for tomorrow. Today I will have the kids each write something to say about him. It is supposed to be warm out tomorrow, so we will all be able to get outside. Then I think we will go to the pet store and each person can pick a pet to write on paper... We will then draw from a hat I think... or have a debate as to why their idea is best and maybe a vote?

We have a little pet cemetary in our back yard. Em likes to take large rocks and paint them. Then we pace them over the grave.
