I thought I would share these two sites that I found today. Their both about social skills for kids with disabilities. The book on the first site I just bought. The second site looks like it would be great for younger children. http://www.newharbinger.com/productdetails.cfm?SKU=6140 http://www.modelmekids.com
Those look awesome, Susan! Thank you! I also recently found this book on Amazon, and then checked it out of the library. I've really liked it. http://www.amazon.com/Picture-Teach...10/ref=sr_11_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1216752368&sr=11-1 There's another one in the series for older kids.
Susan, Thanks for posting those. I have been looking for books for DD. I also am trying to find info on picture lists. Ever heard of these?
I think this is what your looking for, scroll down more towards the bottom of the page. http://http://trainland.tripod.com/pecs.htm
Oops.. you left two "http"s in that link.. Try this: http://trainland.tripod.com/pecs.htm We used a pecs system with Katie, and they did at school, too. (She's been going to our public schools absolutely fabulous special ed pre-k program. She's going to go again this year, and then hopefully will be ready for homeschool next year. Yayy!) It really helped her, when we used it consistently.
thank you for catching that, talk about a brain cramp. I love the picture cards, they really helped my son when he was little.
