I wanted to share some good news with all of you!!
My husband got a promotion at work. It wasnt even a job he applied for, it was offered to him - praise God! He will start it in a month or two.
Also, we are expecting a baby! :D
We are very excited and happy about the news. This was very much wanted.
My last pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 13wks - that was seven yrs ago. And my last birth was almost nine yrs ago. So I am a little nervous - more excited, but still nervous.
This will mean lots of changes. One is that I am not 100% sure if we will be able to do the mission trip to Mexico in April. Due to my husbands new job, not having any vacation left for when the baby comes and then the $ part of all of it.
If you could remember us in prayer as we need to make these decisions soon. Please pray that there will be no hard feelings, for a safe pregnancy, and my dh's new job.

    Thank you.

Oh! - I am five wks pregnant. Due date Sept. 5th.

Praying for you Crystal. That's great !!!

If it's meant to be that you would be able to go on the Missions trip - God will make it happen. If not, maybe there's something for you to do "behind the scenes".

Oh Crystal I fear my email may have been a little harsh instead of firm. There will be no hard fealings here if you and Rod can not go this time. I wanted to suggest to you that maybe you should reconsider flying down or postpone for a year or 2 until you are better settle with adoption and the new addition. You and Rod are special to me and I would never let something like inability to travel with us affect that!!!!

OH, BTW, I was looking over the Hershey pictures yesterday. Jimmy Lu and Crystal, you two look SO MUCH ALIKE in them! Sure you're not long-lost sisters? Jimmy Lu, any time you decide to do a missions trip in the summer rather than the spring, let me know! But until then, my family is with you in Spirit!!!

My dh started his new job today!! Much sooner then we thought, but thats a good thing and we are very happy about it. He will now have every weekend off.

I had my first prenatal visit. I am 6 wks along, my due date confirmed and everything looks great. We were told that we would be able to hear the heartbeat next visit!! :D

We also made the decision not to go on the Mexico mission trip this yr. It was a very hard decision to make, but one we feel is best. When dh is more acclimated in his new role at work, the adoption/court situation with Jessie is resolved and my new child is in my arms - then we will plan on mission work.

Your continued prayers for all these changes and events in our life are so very appreciated!!!
    Thank you...

Morning sickness has taken over!! And not just in the morning. I have not been very active the past couple of weeks, but am towards the end of it. (it is not everyday now) I am almost done with my first trimester. I had an u/s done the other day and got to see the baby and hear the heartbeat - cant describe the feeling. Just thanking God everyday for this precious gift.
I also wanted to update you and ask for prayer in regards to our Jessie. We still dont have a court date, but know that it will be in the summer. Our lawyer is in the process of putting together a summary and sending it to the bio fathers lawyer. This is for the purpose of resloving the matter without going to court. Our lawyer feels we have much evidence against the father and would like to give the chance to settle out of court. Wouldnt that be wonderful?? We are praying that this would be the case and put all this behind us.

I have missed checking in with you all and hope to be back on the forum more often.

    Crystal,

As you know, the end result is sooo worth it! But it is a pain (literally) to go through the sickness part! I won't go into any of my own pregnancy stories, as we women can tend to do! But I want you to know that I am praying for you and the baby and your family, especially Jessie and her biological father, right now!!! I pray that he sees the light and doesn't take this to court! What a sad situation, and so difficult for Jessie! But God is with you and will continue to be with you no matter what!

I did that earlier today too---I clicked submit before I finished---don't ask me why! Anyway, I also wanted to add that I am so happy that you did get pregnant with this very wanted and loved baby, and hope the rest of the pregnancy goes smoother!

    the father

One thing I thought as I read these is that maybe we should all start praying for Jessie's bio-father. If she does have to go back that family needs more prayer than Crystal's does. God only knows the outcome.

Congratulations, Crystal! I'm so happy and excited for you. I love babies :)! I hope your morning sickness will end soon. I'll be praying about Jessie situation. Settling the matter outside the court would be ideal. Don't lose heart. God is in control!

I think it's a matter of praying for all individuals involved. The bio-father (because he's being a stubborn ass with appearently no common sense in his head at all - SORRY) and for Crystal and her family because the worst of this will come when she's in the third trimester and she doesn't need any of this (at any given time) but especially when she's pregnant.

Crystal praying the morning sickness is only temporary and that you will be on your feet again soon. Take care.

A big thank you!! Your words and prayers - as always - are very appreciated.

You're right Brenda, the worst will come when I am in my 3rd trimester and I am not thrilled about that. I know God has His hand in this and has a reason for this timing.

It is my prayer that this is behind us without a court battle.

    Thanks to all.
