While we were watching the hurricane coverage last night, he made mention of how what these poor people are going through is just a foreshadowing of what it will be like for people in the end times. I cannot imagine the horror the people are going through even today, let alone what it will be like then. It breaks my heart.
It's so hard to believe but it is so true. We need to be praying for a Mighty Revival - that many people will enter into a relationship with the Lord because they want to experience His peace and His everlasting life/love.
My dh and I had a long talk about the whole situation, too. One things that drives him crazy (and me too) is to watch these reporters looking clean and fed going around taking pictures and interviewing these people. He said, "Drop the camera and microphone and pitch in and help!!" I mean, with all the major networks covering this, can't the local stations stay out or help?
I don't know how reporters and cameramen can be out in the field and not have the desperate need to take anyone they can to food and safety! Wish I was closer to help....and open up my house. I don't have TV so it is hard for me to know exactly what the situation is there, but I just can't believe there wouldn't be a way to get those people out of there.
I think God is sending an awaking. He is giving opportunities for salvation. People better wake up and listen to His calling.
This is exactly what I was thinking. My hubby and I were talking about exactly this and he mentioned a good point. New Orleans is where our annual Mardi Gras is held, nothing but one big sin-fest. It's one of the most heavily populated and highest crime rated cities in the US. It makes you kind of think to why it could have happened for a reason...where's the tornado for Milwaukee man??? Those people need to wake up too!
