I'm looking at maybe buying a used SOS math set online. Is there anything I should look out for? Here is what they say about it.
Up for auction is a GUC Switched on Schoolhouse 2010 3rd Grade Math. It comes with the installation disc, guide and math disc. It come from a smoke free home.

I've never used SOS math, but I've heard it's hard to use because of the way (whatever way that is) you have to put the answers in...

I would not get math SOS for a 3rd grader it will be too much typing, I have used it for 4th grade, ds hated the typing the individual numbers in.
We love sos but Math is something you really need to be writing out.

Mom2lydia, just like anything else it works for some as to others have negative feedback. I did a little research that went either way. As a drafting instructor I find students learn better with hands on activities and have a better concept of geometry. For example, if I asked anyone what is half of 3/4 most would have to think or go through a formula to figure it out. I simply tell my students to keep the top number the same and double the bottom, in this case 1/2 of 3/4 would be 3/8. It works for all fractions. I can't wait till I can post Threads, haha!
