Okay, a friend of mine gave me her SOS for 10th and 11th grade and I can't get it to install on my computer. An error saying something about the SQL server failing. I don't know what to do. I called and asked the support people at AOP and the guy said he could not help me if I have a version older than 2008. (biting my tongue so I don't say something I will have to repent for later) I'm frustrated and angry. I really want to get this installed to see if the kids will like it and the maker of the curriculum can't even help. Does anyone here know how to help me?

I'm not sure which operating system you are using, but you can change the compatibility mode of a program to an older operating system. Sometimes that will make it work. Here's an article that tells you how.

Problem fixed! I was able to load them and will try them out this week. Quick question...Can I install them on other computers, since it's clear that each of them will need their own computer to do this at the same time.

Yes? Assuming you do not have the same problem on all your computers I would think its the same. You make one be the home computer the others be the client and then you can check work from either.

Okay after having it loaded for a couple days and going through the CD's I am finding that my kiddos know a lot of this curriculum already. I let my son dabble with some of the lessons today and he did quite well. Breezed right through them actually. Now I'm wondering what to do....do I let them do this work knowing most of it will be review or should I go ahead and purchase 12th grade? Decisions, decisions?????? The funny thing is I thought that maybe we were a little behind with all the negative talk about using ACE paces out there and it appears we are way ahead of the game here. My youngest dd is 14 and doing 11th grade (we started really early with her) was complaining about already knowing everything and quickly said "this is all review, I know all of this stuff!". While I would love to continue with what we have been using I just don't want to have to take it with us when we move to China in a few months. I know I'm all over the place. Just trying to think out loud......

in the beginning there is review, my ds thought he knew it all too, but there are some things in there here and there that are totally new.
your dd sounds so like mine! She went through everything so easily too and we started her way early as well because of her learning capacity.

Anyway BOT--- you can go through and delete the classes they are already doing if you want. I agree trying to take it all with you is hard. I think if you can get the 12th I would go with it , and fine tune the two to make it work for your dd. Ds as well.

I know there is review in the beginning but I'm talking about the end...they already know it. It's no fun being perplexed!
