For those who have used this, are the student record books helpful or unnecessary? I'm trying to decide if I should spend the extra money or if a regular notebook would suffice.
We find the student books to be very convenient, however the book has pages you can photocopy to make your own student pages. I don't suggest a notebook though, because of the 10 step study section. That section is very important to the program so you'll need either the photocopied pages, or the student record books. If you are interested I do have an extra blue book that I'd be willing to send to you for just the cost of shipping if that helps you out at all!
I photocopy the page from the book for my children. Works out great. I didn't buy the student record books.
If you get a 4th edition copy of the book, it comes with CDs that have the forms on them. we have a Mac so couldn't use them, so I recreated them, I print the test on one side and the 10 step study page on the back...works great.
Maria, I send you a pm! I'm glad the book will find a use! I was hoping that you only needed the one book, but I was just guessing by the ages of your children in your siggy line.
One of my goals is to control paper clutter this year, so I bought the record books. I just took 4 large garbage bags of paper out of my office, I using spirals for everything else. I do think a spiral would be fine. The ten step would be the hard part in regular spiral.
the new edition has a link to go for MAC users so you can get the forms. This is good since my next computer will be a MAC
