Has anyone used MCP Spelling Workout before? This year we used Sequential spelling and I just am not sure it is working the best for dd. Anyone have a great program they use?

I have never used MCP before but I am using All About Spelling. It is a great program, I will say as I have said before it is teacher intensive but great! It is not a weekly spelling list- but teaches spelling through phonetics and why you spell certain words they way you do. You master a step before moving on. It works for my son since he does not do great with a weekly list.

I have heard people say that How To Teach Spelling (HTTS) is similar to AAS but without all the hands on stuff and is less expensive too. Good luck!

Dd is not a hands on person and she would not like a teacher intensive program. She is a very independent student, even for 3rd grade. She like workbooks which is why I though Spelling Workout might be a good fit but I do not know anyone who has used it.

No, haven't used MCP....I'm looking at A Reason For Spelling and the spelling put out by the Growing With Grammar people...think its Soaring with Spelling?

These do not look teacher intense at all.
