I chose 100% supportive but not too involved.

He would LOVE to be more involved BUT he also has to work full time so that I can be home to be the domestic engineer goddess that I am (NOT!).

We're hoping in the next school year to plan field trips for the weekends so that he can be more involved that way.

    :)

I voted 100% supportive and very involved. Obviously due to work he doesn't teach on a regular basis but he has covered some subjects for me when I felt he was more qualified. he asks the kids about school at dinner every night and has often played the "principal" role when I've needed him to.

He's gone to CHEO with me a few times. Last year he picked out one of units, which was a big hit this year.

He's also "grown" into this role. I guess you could say the same about me. Over time, we've both found our "niches" and we seem to compliment each other well.

Yeah, that's the way we are as well! He's always asked the kids questions about what they did that day and stuff, but I did pretty much all the teaching. As the kids have gotten older, he's fit right in to the science and math niches and does so well with them! Those are two of his strongest areas, as well as history, and he can explain concepts so much better. Sometimes he'll just talk about and explain concepts that just broaden their horizons and understanding. He and the boys talk about the different wars and find things on the maps, and discuss historical things a lot.

So my dh really rounds out the kids knowledge and helps them have a deeper understanding of it than I am able to do. We're a GREAT team! :D

dh is 100% supportive. He made the decision to have us homeschool sd and that we would eventually homeschool dd too. He is invovled handling science for sd. I do not like science so that is totally his thing. I take care of the rest of the subjects and all the paper work(well he faxes the stuff to the district for us). He has not done too much with our support group but that has just been timing. I am hoping he is going to be able to attend the LEAH conference with me in May.
