I am looking for a science text for kinder (or for kinder+). I have the Mudpies books, and the experiments are great, but there is no explanation with Mudpies and I don’t want to tackle a subject in a haphazard fashion. I am looking for something more systematic.

Has anyone tried Building Foundations of Scientific Understanding: A Science Curriculum for K-2 (Nebel)? If so, what do you think of it? Is it challenging and engaging?

Or does someone have another suggestion?

Could someone also recommend an interesting science text for me to use as a reference (for myself)?
