How do you all plan to store your childrens transcripts, diploma, report cards, portfolios, etc. As I stated in a previous post, and friend of a friend had homeschooled her children all the way thru high school. She issued her children a mommy made private school diploma. Her home was destroyed by a hurricane. She never considered that her mommy records would be destroyed, so she never took precautions to protect them.

My friend had her son take the GED as a back up plan, to prove that he had completed his high school education.

Have any of you considered how you are going to keep your homeschooling records safe from destruction?

We have important things stored on computer then backed up offsite. We use Carbonite - $55/yr is well worth the price of knowing if something happened you have a backup of not only your homeschool records, but pictures and everything else. I don't have to remember to back up, it does it automatically several times a day.

You could also save it all to a flash drive or CD and send it to a family member or put it in a safe deposit box.
