I have my children doing a couple summer programs, but was curious if anyone knows of any others out there??
We are doing our local library reading program, the local newspaper, Barnes and Nobles, Issacs Restaurant, and I think that is it. Am I missing any??
We love doing these programs. My kids read during our summer break anyway, so it is nice for them to have the little rewards at the end. Two of the programs are giving amusement park tickets. Thats a great savings for me and my gang!! :D

    WOW

Which places are giving free tickets? That is a deal for anyone.
Tell the gang to be watching the mail for a package Friday or Saturday.

They are tickets up my way - Hershey Park and another park called Dutch Wonderland.

I will tell them! We are a little slower up here. Tell you gang a couple weeks and we will mail your guy back.

My new Better Homes & Gardens has Hershey featured as one of the best parks to take a family...you guys are so fortunate!

This is not a summer program, but my kids did a reading program for Six Flags tickets. They (and I) had to read 6 hours and record all the books. I noticed the tickets can be used at just about every Six Flags in the country.

I'm serious about going, too, Lorna! I really would like to get a group of us together there if at all possible, but figure we'd be better off waiting until closer to the time.

Did anyone see the special on the National Geographic station about King Tut's Treasures? I friend was going to tape it for me...I hope to get it tonight! Also, Lorna, if you go to National Geographic's web site, they've a place where you can take a Virtual Tour through the tomb......
