I found this via a religious news organization, but sought out the Fayetteville newspaper. If you don't know, Fayetteville is located directly beside Ft. Bragg, so it sports a decent military population.

The newspaper has a clip of the video in question. There is also a side link with the parents response - they say the situation has been blown out of proportion and they support their daughter's teacher.

What do you think about this?

I've seen it and it was horrible. The teacher doesn't speak english well in the first place and the girl looks to be in tears at one point. IMO she doesn't belong in a classroom if she behaves that badly. She was basically ridiculing this child.

The parents may be supporting the teacher because they fear reprisals I guess.

A teacher spoke to one of my children in a similar manner. Once. It's one of the reasons we homeschool.

There were teachers like that when I was in school. I think they are more good teachers than bad.

I am disappointed that the school board has apparently decided to take no action on this. And from what I heard the teacher is claiming she was 'set up' and was 'taken out of context'.

Also she knew she was on camera and she behaved this way? What does she do when there are no other adults around?

I have seen it, and it is awful. She was clearly wrong in what she did, but the teachers are protected by the NEA, and there might be little the school district can do.

So I don't blame the school district. They were just unfortunate enough to have a teacher that got caught on tape. The focus has been too much on that one teacher. She is just one of thousands more who do similar things in the classroom.

When I was in school my teachers were very democratic and although they did not chastise students who were republican, their curriculum was VERY pro-democrat and anti-republican.

It's no secret that the teacher's union supports the democrats and supports Obama.

Our church showed us how the school system is being used to create a society of drugged, dumb and docile youths as evidenced by the spike in the use of psych drugs such as ritalin in young children. That's why we pulled our child out! And the rest of our children will never set food in a public school ever.
